Copav Scarl - Integrated transportation services.

Call for Proposals for the Support of the Digital Transition of Emilia-Romagna Enterprises.

Cop.a.v. operates in the field of logistics and freight transport, focusing mainly on the transportation of containers arriving in and departing from Italy, between the intermodal nodes of the Italian system and the companies involved in shipping. This activity constitutes the core of the company's operations. Due to the organizational and managerial complexity of freight forwarding, Cop.a.v. has recognized the importance of adopting digital tools for optimizing organizational and managerial processes, as well as for collecting and analyzing increasing volumes of heterogeneous data. This enables the conduct of timely analysis and planning of daily operational processes.

For several years, Cop.a.v. has implemented a proprietary digital system for shipment planning and management, customized to meet the specific needs of the company and its consortium member companies. This system is not only an internal management tool, but is also the key interface for planning and management, involving members , drivers and client customers.

Thanks to funding obtained through the Call for Proposals to Support the Digital Transition of Emilia-Romagna Enterprises, Cop.a.v. has further enhanced its internal system with two new innovative solutions.

The first digital improvement involves the implementation of a new software module for automating quoting within the system. This module encodes criteria for defining quotes, automatically generates estimates, and, once the quote is accepted, enables billing and activates new transportation requests.

The second upgrade involves the implementation of an integrated software module in Hermes to simulate optimized transport-vehicle associations. This simulation, based on about 40 strategic parameters identified by the company, allows operators to consider a complete scenario on a daily basis, updating it promptly in case of new transports or critical planning issues.
