What is meant by ISO 14001?

ISO 14001 is part of a series of international standards, covering Environmental Management System, applicable to all types of organizations.
ISO 14001, the most widely used Environmental Management Systems standard in the world, is set on the principles of a management system that includes the phases of planning, execution, control and improvement actions; the application of ISO 14001 defines the most important requirements for identifying, controlling and monitoring the environmental aspects of any organization that has an environmental policy.

What is ISO 45001?

Compliance with the international standard ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Specification) ensures compliance with the requirements for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems and enables an organization to better assess risks and improve its performance by carefully considering its context and stakeholders (so-called "interested parties").

The standard can be adopted by any organization operating in all types of sectors and activities and is intended to make systematic for a company, the control, knowledge, awareness and management of all possible risks inherent in situations of normal and extraordinary operations in the workplace.
ISO 45001 also requires management to engage, personally, and workers to be directly involved in the identification and management of the system, thus creating a virtuous circle of improvement in the Health and Safety of the workers themselves.
ISO 45001 certification is based on occupational health and safety management and requires organizations to continually improve, thus providing all stakeholders with the assurance of compliance with specified safety policies.

In the corporate sphere, the so-called SQAS certification is a crucial international assurance factor about the quality of logistics services provided in the chemical sector. It is not a true certification, nor does it have a discriminating character as for SOA-certified companies for the purpose of participation in public tenders: SQAS is an acronym for Safety and Quality Assessment System.

It is basically an internationally recognized monitoring system that was created with the aim of improving the level of safety during the transport, storage and handling of particularly harmful and hazardous substances such as chemicals can turn out to be. So this sort of SQAS certification is important for assessing a company's performance in terms of environmental, safety and the overall quality of the logistics service performed within the chemical industry.
